Pharmacist assistants, also known as pharmacy technicians, are healthcare professionals who work alongside licensed pharmacists to help prepare and dispense medications to patients. They are responsible for a variety of tasks, such as receiving prescription orders from doctors and verifying patient information, counting and measuring medications, packaging and labeling prescriptions, and providing information to patients about their medications and any potential side effects.

Pharmacy technicians must be knowledgeable about different types of medications, their uses and dosages, and must be able to maintain accurate records of all medications dispensed. They work in a variety of settings, including retail pharmacies, hospitals, and long-term care facilities.

In addition to their technical skills, pharmacist assistants also require excellent communication and customer service skills, as they often interact with patients and healthcare professionals. They must also be detail-oriented and able to work well under pressure, as they are responsible for ensuring that medications are prepared accurately and efficiently.
